EBO2 stands for Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation. This seems like a complicated phrase, but if we break it down we get an idea of what it really means: Extracorporeal means outside of the body. Oxygenation means just what it says; putting oxygen into an area. Finally, ozonation means adding ozone to an area.

During ozonation, blood passes through a chamber where it is exposed to ozone, a strong oxidant that can neutralize pathogens such as viruses, bacteria, and fungi. Ozone quickly reacts in the blood and forms compounds called ozonides, which help stimulate the immune system and support the body’s natural adaptive responses. These ozonides enhance the body’s ability to fight infections, reduce inflammation, and improve detoxification. They also increase levels of 2,3-DPG in red blood cells, allowing more oxygen to be released from hemoglobin and improving oxygen delivery throughout the body.
Following ozonation, the blood is exposed to high-powered ultraviolet light in a process called Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI).
